Biography

Neil John Gibson is an actor based between Glasgow and London.   Having graduated from East 15 Acting School's MA Acting course with distinction, Neil is pursuing a career in theatre and television. 

Education and Work

Hailing from Kirkintilloch, East Dunbartonshire, Neil is very proud to be Scottish.  Gaining high school education at St Ninian's High School, Neil then studied Economics and Law at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow.  Graduating with a 2:1 honours degree Neil began work with BOC Gases.



Working at BOC Gases Neil held various positions within the business and trained further to specialise in marketing and sales within the business.  



After 3 years with the company, Neil moved to Newcastle upon Tyne and became involved in the People's Theatre in Heaton at which point decided that he wanted to pursue a career in acting. 



In September 2010, Neil began the MA Acting course at East 15 Acting School under the tutelage of Andrea Brooks having what he described as, 'The best year of his life'.  



Since graduating in 2011 Neil has performed at the National Theatre and English National Opera in London, toured Eastern Europe performing Harold Pinter plays and recently finished the UK Premiere  of the work of Kerrigan and Lowdermilk at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.  



Neil was awarded a commendation at the NSDF and Idea's Tap  Emerging Artists Awards in Edinburgh 2012 for his work on Party Worth Crashing at the Fringe Festival.
